Anand Mahangoe

Anand is geboren te Paramaribo, Suriname in 1974 met Indiase voorouders. Woonachtig in Nederland sinds zijn 5e levensjaar. Op zijn twaalfde kwam Anand zijn eerste grote passie tegen: Gitaarspelen. Hij werd uitgeroepen tot “Beste Gitarist van Nederland in 1996”. Sindsdien geeft hij gitaarlessen, treedt live op met bands variërend in de stijl van Bollywood tot Hollywood, Latijns Amerikaans tot rock en metal. Anand geeft workshops, clinics voor de sponsoren van zijn apparatuur.
In de zomer 2013 ben ik aan mijn tweede grote passie begonnen : Yoga beoefenen! Beïnvloed door een droom en via een gesprek met Yogacharya Patrick, begon ik aan de Raja Yoga docentenopleiding. Precies aansluitend op mijn gevoel, onze leef- en denkwijze , ben ik vol overgave onderweg naar “Thuis”. Anand kreeg een erkenning tot Raja Yoga leerkracht in 2015. Anand geeft de Basisopleiding, Docenten 1 en Hatha Yoga (in English).

Anand was born in Paramaribo, Surinam in 1974 with Indian ancestors. Living in the Netherlands since his 5th year. At the age of 12, Anand encountered his first big passion: playing the guitar. He became the “Best Guitarist of the Netherlands in 1996”. Since then he gives guitar lessons, performs live with bands ranging in style from Bollywood to Hollywood, Latin American to rock and metal. Anand gives workshops, also clinics for the sponsors of his equipment.
In the summer of 2013, I started my second big passion: practicing yoga! Influenced by a dream, through a conversation with Yogacharya Patrick, I started the Raja Yoga program. It fits exactly with our way of thinking and living. Anand gives Hatha Yoga and the foundation course.

On Thursdays, he is the teacher of a Hatha Yoga group for English speaking persons. So – if you are only speaking English, be welcome to this Hatha Yoga class. Addres: Lasonderstraat 3. Lessons start at 18:00 until 19:30, so be present around 17.50.
